Pay Rate: Starting Pay $47,667 after passing state exam $70,099

Job Summary: The purpose of this job is to become certified as a Law Enforcement Officer in the State of Florida.

Essential Job Functions:

Attends and completes the Law Enforcement Academy.

Passes the Florida Department of Law Enforcement State Exam.

Completes CCSO PTO training.

Minimum Requirements:

High school graduation or G.E.D. equivalent. Must possess a valid Florida driver's license. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Physical Effort Required:

Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of standing, walking, hearing, and kneeling, reaching, feeling, grasping, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing, crawling, fingering, and performing repetitive motions. Must be able to perform work pushing/pulling/grappling of persons or objects up to 200 pounds of force occasionally: 20 pounds frequently (uniform vest, belt): and 10 pounds constantly.

Working Conditions:

Classroom and other training facilities. Noise levels range from quiet to loud. Occasionally outdoors with exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures.
